Birkenstock QS 700 Microfibre Black Steel Cap Boots

Free express shipping on all orders over $160.

BIRKENSTOCK’s QS700 safety shoe with a removable footbed offers firm grip and takes the strain off your feet, allowing you to stand and move around comfortably at work for many hours, even in demanding environments.

The QS700 is presented as a modern ankle sneaker with 7-hole lacing and a heel loop. The nonslip, metal-free, and oil- and petrol-resistant outsole provides for energy absorption around the heel and is penetration-resistant. A 200-joule steel toe with a scratch-resistant toe cap protects the forefoot. The upper is made from water-resistant microfiber (WRU) and offers antistatic protection.

The shoe is certified in accordance with EN ISO 20345:2011 and meets the requirements of protection category S3.

  • Removable, anatomically shaped cork-microfiber footbed
  • Material: water-resistant microfiber (WRU)
  • Footbed lining: microfiber
  • Sole: nitrile rubber (SRC)
  • Details: steel toe (200 joules) with scratch-resistant toe cap; penetration-resistant, metal-free, nonslip, and oil- and petrol-resistant outsole (P, SRC, FO); energy absorption around heel (E); antistatic protection (A)
  • Safety shoe certified in accordance with EN ISO 20345:2011
  • Protection category S3

Fitting Notes:

  • The QS 700 is a heavy duty lace up boot featuring a removable footbed and microfibre upper which is softer than leather but may still take a few days to soften up.
  • The roomy fit is perfect for average to broad feet, though people with narrow feet can still wear this style with a thicker sock as the lace up and ankle padding makes it a secure fit.

A shipping note is an important document and must be taken with you when you make your delivery.

Shoes must be returned within 30 days of purchase, unworn or in their original condition. Sale can be exchanged/store credit only.

Obsessed

I have been experiencing symptoms of plantar fasciitis at times and needed a pair of Birkenstock for winter. Like other people mentioned, it is tough, but it you start by not doing the laces up to the too until you break in (I leave the top one out) , no probs. I wear narrow but these are fine with Regular

Great For Foot Health But Poorly Built For Work Boots.

Needsto be leather or canvas for site work.

Epic work boots for a barefooter.

These boots are incredible. I live my life in barefoot shoes or bare feet. Have very wide feet and recently had to buy steel caps for a job. I originally purchased another brand a size too big and suffered with broken feet for 3 weeks. Too narrow and not my foot shaped. Then fortunately found these. At more than twice the price but who cares life is long and feet support us. Now back on track and out of foot pain. And when I get home I forget to take them off they’re so comfy.

I did have to take the arch supporting foot bed out. Not my jamb. Arches support themselves and your body when healthy. Replaced with a 3 mm high density flat insole from my favourite shoe brand.

Great

I chose these boots because of the wide toe box and flat sole. I have been wearing minimalist footwear for 3 years and had been looking for something suitable at work. These are the closest I have found. I did remove the inner sole to take away the heel raise and arch support of the inner sole.
I've been wearing the boots for a few weeks now and so far so good. They did take a bit of wearing in as they initially rubbed on the back of my ankle at the top of the boot, but that is good now. They never rubbed anywhere else and love that my toes have space and I don't have a raised heel now.

Poor build quality for a true safety boot

I work outdoors and this boot allows dirt and rubbish into the boot where the tongue meets the lace up section due to the two areas not being connected properly which leaves a gap. In addition, the stitching has come apart in the same areas

Cruddy quality

A PSA in regard to the Birkenstock QS700 wide toe box steel cap work boots

I’ve transitioned to barefoot footwear in April last year and because I work in a woodworking shop I also ordered a pair of what appeared at the time to be the only barefoot safety boots out there, the QS700. Along with them I ordered a pair of north soles to make them zero drop.
Now, one year on, the stitching on the steel toe is tearing apart, the little pull tab on the heel has proven useless after only one month when I nearly tore it completely off and, worst of all, the sole on both boots is now nearly completely detached from the rest of the shoe.
I’m really disappointed in the quality of these boots as they were AUD$301, nearly twice as much as my previous pairs of boots, but lasted less than half the time of my regular work boots.
Sure I can fix the sole and glue it back on but that just adds to the cost and shouldn’t happen on an expensive boot like this.

I’m now rather reluctant to buy these boots again.

Yes. Foot shaped safety boots would be good please.

Birkenstock safety boots are the closest thing ever made - to shoes you can spend your whole day in and not ruin your feet/posture/back and everything else while trying to make a living.

I've waited 30 years for something to wear to work that doesn't destroy me physically.(and mentally)

It's horrible to put conventional boots back on (let alone work all day in them) once you know what shoes should be shaped like.
Society is backward.
99.99999999% of shoe designers are _ (I can't say it in public)

What's good about them?
1. Lightweight
2. Don't look like garbage like all other work boots
3. I can actually use my posture the way it's supposed to work.
4. Got rid of all orthotic supports I've used since childhood (money saved like you wouldn't believe).
5. Lack of foot squashing means less heel wear, toe pain, toes smashing into a safety cap component. Less socks wearing holes..........

What's wrong with these?
1. Slippery on muddy/wet worksites, perhaps because of flat the sole (please make a heel-step version like all other boots have.)
2. A little less durable around the toe cap means short life maybe 6 months for my job. They started rubbing through at the front, taking water, then it was over within a couple of shifts (needs a strong-poly cap/top?)
3. The right shape for a foot, but only a foot with narrow structure at the toes(standard for Birkenstock- I don't know any man/tradie with petite toes. We all need space. We're exerting ourselves, physically. Please make a wider toes version. I don't even care if I get ridiculed for how they look.)
4. No side zip option(I can deal with this for the pros though.)

Would buy these like hotcakes if the next generation features these options.

Also please pay attention, other shoe designers.

Regards
Dave

So painful for toes and feet

The soles are like thick bricks and have no flexibility at all :( I know steel capped shoes will have a harder toe area due to the steel cap but my goodness these made me feel like my toes were bruised. The tips of my toes hurt so bad for days and I thought I could 'wear them in' but even after days of wearing them, and what felt like hell, I could not do it anymore. Hoping I could get a return as they did not meet any comfort criteria at all. I don't recommend this shoe.. I was sold by the reviews and wanted a 'barefoot' option in steel caps but these are not it. :( The quality is nice and it's well made, it also looks cute, but the comfort level is 0.
